Breeze Airways is launching six new routes from Florida's Vero Beach this week and next, with one-way fares starting at $74. The new nonstops connect the small airport north of Palm Beach with Baltimore and Pittsburgh, plus Trenton and Atlantic City in New Jersey. Burlington in Vermont and Provo in Utah complete the list.
Founded by JetBlue founder David Neeleman, Breeze is a low-fare airline. It focuses on flying between smaller airports that the big carriers often skip.
The New Routes
Flights to Trenton, New Jersey, kicked off the rollout on Wednesday. Baltimore and Pittsburgh follow on Thursday, with Atlantic City and Provo starting on Friday. Burlington flights round things out on October 4.
Most Breeze routes run a few times a week rather than every day, so it's worth checking the schedule before planning a trip around a specific date.
Why It Matters
For people who live around Vero Beach, these routes cut out the drive to bigger airports like Palm Beach or Orlando. Smaller airports also tend to mean shorter security lines and less walking, which is a big part of Breeze's appeal.
It works the other way too. Travelers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic get a direct line to a quieter corner of Florida heading into the winter season, when demand for sunshine peaks. The Burlington route is especially well timed, since it launches right as fall foliage season hits Vermont.
Provo is the outlier on the list. Breeze has a base there, about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City, and the route gives Floridians an easier way to reach Utah's mountains and national parks.
Part of a Bigger Florida Push
These Vero Beach routes are part of nearly two dozen new and returning Florida routes Breeze has announced this year. Earlier this week, the airline added a route between Trenton and Fort Lauderdale. Nonstop flights between Trenton and Fort Myers are set to start on January 8, 2027.
